How it works

Every sourcing engagement follows the same six steps.

Two engagement modes. Both agreed in writing before work starts.

The 6-step process

01 BRIEF 02 NDA 03 GLOBAL SEARCH 04 RFQ & OFFERS 05 ANALYSIS 06 HANDOVER
01

Brief

You define your requirements — material, specifications, volume, and timeline.

02

NDA

Mutual non-disclosure agreements are put in place before any client information is shared.

03

Global Search

We identify suppliers globally who can deliver against your requirements at competitive prices. Capability and fit assessments remain the Client's responsibility.

04

RFQ & Offers

We run a structured RFQ process and gather a selection of competitive, comparable offers for your review.

05

Analysis

We provide a clear comparison across pricing, quality, and lead times, with a recommendation and rationale.

06

Handover

We present the shortlisted supplier(s) with our analysis. You proceed with due diligence and final agreements directly. Ongoing support is available depending on the engagement level.

Procurement Coordination engagements — coordination of an existing buyer-supplier relationship rather than fresh sourcing — follow a different working model. See the Procurement Coordination service description.

Engagement modes

Two ways to engage. You choose.

Mode A · Advisory / Sourcing

We act as your procurement partner, identifying suppliers, running the sourcing process, and supporting pricing discussions. You contract directly with the supplier and retain full control over due diligence and final agreements. Konvel is engaged via agreed fees — typically project-based, retainer, or success fee.

Mode B · Supply / Principal

Konvel sources and purchases the goods, then supplies them to you directly. We act as the contracting party, providing a single point of coordination and oversight across the transaction. Konvel earns a margin, agreed transparently on a per-project basis.

Fees

Structured to fit the work.

Project fees, day rates and retainers
Scoped per engagement based on complexity, scope and timeline
Agreed directly with the Client; indicative ranges available on request
Supplier commission (Mode A)
Paid by the supplier and disclosed in advance
Typically 3–5% of contract value
Margin on product (Mode B)
Applied where Konvel supplies directly as principal
Typically 5–15% of purchase value

All fees and commercial structures are agreed and documented in the Engagement Letter before any work begins.
